Cultural Dance - A Unique Kavango African Dance from Namibia

amibia a country in south -west of Africa. In Okavango/Kavango region created in 2013 you will find the kavango cultural dancers who perform the kavango cultural dance.

The dancers wear wigs made from wool with coloured beads and waist skirts made from reads and ankles covered in rattle's made from wild acacia bean seeds to complete the dancing gear of the young and old dancer's. Clapping of hands, swinging of waist and vigorous shoulders movements are part of the dancing skills used. Although modernization has influenced their traditions they still sing and the songs the same way their ancestors did .
